Self-Assessment and ATDMT
I made a couple resource matching tools with Livewire and Alpine JS.
Self-Assessment and ATDMT
I created a question-based, choose-your-adventure style resource recommendation tool using Livewire and Alpine JS. Generated results would be attached to user accounts with dynamic PDFs available for download. These projects are behind logins, so I don't have screenshots for them right now.
Algolia Search
I made updates to remediate and improve an implementation of Algolia Search.
Algolia Search
Expanded upon the work of an external contractor on an implementation of Algolia Search (JS) that reflected the content of a custom CMS to ensure various product visibility / availability settings were mirrored correctly. Reorganized how updates to results’ entries were processed and reduced the number of requests and load times significantly. Ensured changes made to attached properties / filters cascaded across all relevant, remote entries. Entwined user-side results with a new bookmarking feature.
EF and IWG-A Site Migration
I worked with stakeholders to entirely overhaul the Employment First (EF) and Interagency Work Group for Autism (IWG-A) site and move it to a new system with updated content.
EF and IWG-A Site Migration
For EF: I created an Artisan command for a Laravel project to import data and populate a new website added to a custom CMS. Content was in Word documents and converted (manually) into a series of PHP files with arrays for organization and HTML values for content. For IWG-A: there were few enough pages to migrate the content manually with some new interactivity added across the site. In both: provided technical advisement to and ran demos with stakeholders to ensure results were as expected.
MSNCE Accessibility
I remediated the MSNCE site for accessibility, and the most notable part of that process was working through the menu.
MSNCE Accessibility
Took a jQuery-based, layered menu developed by an outside contractor and expanded on their work to allow for keyboard navigation / screenreader access. Reviewed and remediated the project as needed for other accessibility concerns including color contrast, content flow, and the readability of interactive elements.
Graphic Design
Dynamics Textbook Redesign
This imagined redesign shows several new type styles to modernize the look of the content.
Illustrated Stickers
These icon based designs use bold colors and show that even simple concepts can be great if enough thought and detail go into them.
Illustrated Stickers
These icon based designs use bold colors and show that even simple concepts can be great if enough thought and detail go into them. I chose stickers, specifically, because they have a wider range for viable designs. Similar to smart phone covers, variety keeps stickers as a popular form of expression.
Graphic Pillows
These pillows were meant to showcase some geometric and line-based designs.
Floral Illustrated Labels
I designed and illustrated these labels for a ficticious company, Fran Florists.
Floral Illustrated Labels
I designed and illustrated these labels for a ficticious company, Fran Florists. Althought the labels are fairly similar, each plant is distinguished by its own pattern in the background. I chose labels instead of specialty boxes for this project, because many florists are run out of a small boutique type store. In this kind of location I figured that it would be more economical for the store owner to bulk order plain boxes and have a resonable number of labels on hand.
